Work started on rewiring the whole studio. This was a mammoth task. The following 7 months were spent fund raising and rewiring the studio, which involved long hours by a small team of dedicated members. It was finally completed, and the studio redecorated in November 1999.

The FM service was finally launched on 87.7 FM. The frequency allows patients and staff, as well as staff in the flats opposite the hospital to listen to Radio Withybush. Radio Withybush are indebted to local organisations, too many to list by name, for their financial support in setting up this project.
